Grahame was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended the University of Mississippi and Birmingham-Southern College, graduating with a BA in English. Grahame stayed in Birmingham to pursue a law degree at Cumberland School of Law. His law practice focused primarily on insurance defense. After several years of practicing law, he decided to take his interest in the insurance industry in a new direction.

Grahame spent the next eight years learning the insurance market from the marketing and client service side. Grahame’s professional experience as an attorney in insurance defense litigation and then in life insurance marketing, gives him a unique understanding of the industry from the inside out.
After working for many years together at another firm, Grahame and Billy decided to join forces on a new venture that would allow them to have more control over their offerings and provide a higher and more personalized level of service to their clients. This is how Wood Financial Group (WFG) came to be in 2019.
Grahame’s focus is relationship-oriented and not merely transactional. He strives to do the best for each client and their individual needs, developing insurance solutions designed specifically for their unique circumstances. Honesty, integrity, and discretion form the basis of the service he provides; clients rest easy knowing their sensitive information is safe and in good hands.

Grahame is especially proud of his family. His wife, Melody, is from Laurel, Mississippi. She is a nurse in the intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital. They have two daughters: Emily Anne and Margaret. Grahame spends his free time with his family and loves reading, golf, and watching auto racing.
